Artist's Statement:
I built #17 from 17 wooden doors, which amounts to about 2 cubic yards of trash that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill. With this dramatically different use for salvaged doors, I hope to inspire people to repurpose their old doors instead of dumping them. The doors used for this work were donated by the ReBuilding Center in Portland, OR.
