Community forum in South Bellevue

South Bellevue residents will have an opportunity to learn how to protect themselves against crimes and ask the police chief questions at a community forum on Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Newport High School.

Chief Linda Pillo and other officers from the police department will be on hand for the meeting, 7 to 9 p.m. in the high school commons, 4333 Factoria Blvd. SE. The city's Neighborhood Outreach team is co-hosting the forum, and staff from Code Compliance and Transportation Neighborhood Services will also be present.

The forum will address personal safety, auto crimes, identity theft, noise code enforcement and protection against crime. Police will also share their insights and strategies on community policing, crime prevention, block watch, neighborhood services and community relations. Residents will be invited to voice any questions, concerns or suggestions about relations with the city and the police.

The forum is free and open to the public. For more information or to submit discussion questions in advance, contact Neighborhood Outreach at 425-452-6836 or by email at neighborhoodoutreach@bellevuewa.gov.
