Bellevue Polce are looking for a man who robbed the manager at the Coast Hotel at gunpoint early Saturday.
At approximately 4:15 a.m., police responded to a reported robbery at the hotel at 625 116th Ave. NE. The manager said the suspect jumped over the front counter and confronted him in the hotel office.
The suspect spoke in a low tone as though trying to disguise his voice. The suspect was armed with a small semi-automatic pistol and struck the manager while demanding money. The assault resulted in injury that required medical attention.
The suspect appeared to be about 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds and was wearing:
- black Nike hoodie with light-colored sleeves;
- black full head mask, which pictured a skull with jagged teeth and eye slits;
- gray sweatpants; and
- purple/burgundy mechanic-style gloves.
Detectives are comparing still photos, video from multiple locations and witness statements to establish the suspect's pre- and post-attack behavior.
Detectives were able to recover surveillance images of the suspect, and the police are asking for the public's assistance in indentifying the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect in this case is asked to contact the Bellevue Police or call 911. All information will remain confidential.
