The Bellevue 10K/5K Run/Walk will be Sunday, with both the 10-kilometer and five-kilometer runs to start and end at Downtown Park. A Bellevue Breakfast Rotary Club fundraiser for Seattle Children's Autism Center and Kindering Center, the event starts at 8 a.m.
Previously a 5K in the Crossroads neighborhood, the event expanded this year to include the 10K (6.2-mile) run. The 10K will be a loop through South Bellevue, with a long southbound leg paralleling I-405 along 114th, then 118th Avenue and a long northbound leg on 108th Avenue Southeast, then Bellevue Way. The 5K runs south along 112th Avenue, then returns northward to the park via Bellevue Way. There is also a "Kids' Dash."
Runners can still register individually or with a team and see route maps at Bellevue 10K.
The City of Bellevue is a cosponsor of this event, along with Overlake Hospital, Starbucks, the YMCA, Brooks Running, The Microsoft Store, Lingenbrink, Slalom Consulting, Escape Outdoors and Eagle.
