Renton man arrested for Factoria shooting

Bellevue detectives arrested a Renton man for the shooting death of a 28-year-old Bellevue man early Monday.

Shortly after 1 a.m. on Monday morning Bellevue Police officers responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding an injured male in the Factoria area of Bellevue.  Officers arrived in the 12700 block of S.E. 42nd Street and located a deceased male victim on the floor of his apartment with an apparent gunshot wound.

During the initial stages of the investigation, the suspect returned to the scene and turned himself into officers. When the suspect stepped out of his vehicle, officers immediately saw his blood stained clothes. The suspect turned in a gun, reportedly used in the incident.

Crime Scene Investigators spent hours processing the scene yesterday. Evidence produced at the scene lead detectives to arrest the Renton man for first-degree manslaughter. He was booked into King County Jail pending charges by the King County Prosecutors.
