FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, January 31, 2011

Shooting in Factoria leaves man dead

This morning, just after 1 a.m., Bellevue Police responded to a 911 call regarding an injured man in the Factoria area.

Officers arrived in the 12700 block of Southeast 42nd Street and located a deceased male on the floor of his apartment with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was in his 20s.

During the initial stages of the investigation, officers detained a person of interest regarding the shooting. It is unknown if this person is a resident of Bellevue.

Detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to please call 911 and contact the Bellevue Police Department.
