The state Transportation Commission is seeking comments on recently proposed toll rates for the SR 520 floating bridge, and residents are invited to weigh in at a meeting Tuesday at City Hall, 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
Tolling will have an impact on Bellevue residents and others who work or visit the city. Tolling in both directions of the SR 520 bridge is scheduled to begin next spring.
Transportation Commission members are seeking public comments on the proposal through Jan. 5. The commission is expected to adopt toll rates after a hearing that day, at the Sound Transit Board Room, Union Station, 401 S. Jackson St., Seattle.
In addition to the public meetings, comments can be submitted online e-mailing the commission at transc@wstc.wa.gov
The state DOT offers more information about the all-electronic toll collection system, Good to Go!, as well as added transit service and Smarter Highway signs. The DOT has an informative video about how the tolling will work.
