Bellevue is expected to receive up to a half inch of snow Saturday night, with very cold temperatures forecast through Monday at least. Some streets may be icy, so commuters and other motorists should prepare their vehicles for winter driving.

Drivers should be aware of the terrain in their neighborhoods and alternate routes in case the ones they normally use become impassable. City crews will be working throughout the weekend to apply de-icer and sand where necessary. Anti-icer is being applied to all known icing locations, including freeway bridge decks. If snow plows are required, priority routes will be plowed first.
