Fire department open house and prevention week activities

Open house. All nine Bellevue fire stations will open their doors and welcome the public to visit with firefighters on Saturday, Oct. 10. The stations will be open between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Stop by to ask questions, get fire safety advice, take pictures and see the fire trucks. 

Firefighters at local libraries
To mark Fire Prevention Week this week, Bellevue Firefighters will read at the city's libraries. Children are welcome at the following readings:

Fire Safety Information.  We encourage everyone during fire prevention week to make an assessment of their own fire safety, whether it is at home or business. The NFPA has a helpful website where common fire hazards are explained.  Take a moment and scan it for fire prevention steps you can do yourself.
