TRACKS Internship--Summer Program Assistant
Days: Vary/ Including a number of overnight leadership opportunities
Hours: 10-20 per week Season: Summer Age: Must be 18 or older
Job site: City Hall/ Additional sites around the State
Length of commitment: Minimum 2-3 month commitment
Work environment: Outdoors/Indoors

Does canoeing the Mercer Slough, backpacking the Cascades, and testing your limits on a ropes course sound fun? Are you seeking communication and program development skills? If so, this internship opportunity is for you. We are currently seeking a student intern with strong outdoor skills to help to fulfill our mission to help residents of all ages experience the joys of nature. Under the direction of TRACKS staff, you will teach essential outdoor skills and help organize a wide variety of summer events and outreach programs. Primary Responsibilities:
Under the direction of staff, organize programs and aid in the facilitation of a wide variety of events. Instruct participants in outdoors skills including camping techniques, wilderness safety, and conservation.

Desired Qualifications:
Applicants should have a strong desire to work in a related field.
Must have current Washington State drives license.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to communicate and work well with others.
Strong work ethic and ability to deal with the physical challenges of the TRACKS Program.
Ability to learn new tasks and information.
