In a show of solidarity, Seattle and Eastside officials gathered Thursday, Feb. 4, to support a new six-lane Highway 520 floating bridge, despite continued discussion on how it would connect with Seattle's Montlake neighborhood.
Bellevue Mayor Don Davidson and City Council member Grant Degginger attended the event along with elected officials from other Eastside cities and Seattle. The coalition, which also included state elected officials and business leaders, gathered at the Museum of History and Industry in Seattle to underscore the urgency to move forward and replace the existing, unsafe SR 520 bridge.
