The city has extended the application deadline for residents interested in drafting statements for and against continuation of the East Bellevue Community Council. If you are interested, please apply by Monday, May 15.
The "Statement For" and "Statement Against" (in addition to a rebuttal of the opposing statement) will appear in the King County Local Voters' Pamphlet to be published for the Nov. 7 General Election. As required by state law every four years, residents in part of East Bellevue can vote in November on whether the EBCC will continue to exist.
The EBCC has the power to reject some land-use actions in a part of East Bellevue.
Applications must be received by the City Clerk by 5 p.m., May 15.
Community service applications can be picked up from the City Clerk's Office, the Service First Desk at City Hall, the Bellevue Regional Library, the Lake Hills Library, or the Mini City Hall at Crossroads Shopping Center. A faxed copy may be requested by calling 425-452-6806.
