Survey on Wilburton commercial area's future

The city wants to know your vision for the Wilburton commercial area. As one end of the planned Grand Connection, near downtown and BelRed -- with light rail and the Eastside Rail Corridor coming soon -- the area holds tremendous potential to be Bellevue's next urban neighborhood.

Share your opinion of what matters to you, and your vision for the future of this area through our online survey. Please enter comments by Feb. 27.

The city launched the Wilburton-Grand Connection initiative last year to establish a landmark non-motorized corridor through downtown that will create new opportunities for connectivity and community identity. The city aims to establish an urban design vision for the Grand Connection and a new land use vision for the Wilburton commercial area that will capitalize on the context of the study area and its connectivity to Bellevue's high-growth centers.

The study of the Wilburton commercial area will provide a sweeping new vision for an area that has received substantial improvements in transportation and infrastructure in recent years.

Wilburton's enhanced connectivity will help generate the need for a new land use vision, improved amenities and an opportunity to establish a unique identity and character that compliments its context and prominence.
