News Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, August 24, 2016

Planned outage for city website Friday night

The city is upgrading its core computer network Friday night, and the city website and non-essential phone lines will be unavailable after 7 p.m. Emergency dispatch will not be affected, and people will still be able to call 911. The downtime should be about six hours, but could extend up to 12, until 7 a.m., Saturday.

The upgrade will result in improved voice quality on some phone calls, more bandwidth for city computers and increased reliability -- eliminating single points of failure.
