On Sunday, August 17, at approximately 3:17 p.m., Bellevue Police officers responded to the Burger King restaurant at 14620 NE 24th St. Witnesses called to report that an individual at that location had been stabbed.

While officers were on their way to the scene, the suspect left the scene on foot. Officers were able to locate the suspect in an adjacent parking lot and took him into custody without further incident.

The victim, a white man, approximately 35 to 40 years of age, collapsed outside the restaurant and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police detectives are conducting an investigation.

The Burger King was closed for several hours while police investigated. The Bellevue Police believe only one suspect was involved, and there is no danger to the community at this time.
