Nan Campbell celebration Jan. 24

A celebration of the life of former mayor Nan Campbell will be on Friday, January 24, at Youth Eastside Services, 999 164th Ave. NE, 1-3 p.m.

Campbell was on the Bellevue City Council for two terms, 1982-1989, serving as the city's first woman mayor 1988-1989. She was a civic leader before being on the council, and she continued to contribute to the community after leaving the council.

Campbell died on November 19, at age 87.

The celebration, cosponsored by YES and the City of Bellevue, will feature community sharing, starting at 2 p.m. If you have questions, please call Kim Reid (425-586-2310 or kimr@youtheastsideservices.org).
