Neighborhood leaders to gather

Under the direction of new Neighborhood Outreach Manager Mike McCormick Huentelman, a gathering of neighborhood leaders is set for Tuesday, Feb. 26, 5:30 - 7 p.m. at City Hall.

McCormick Huentelman joined the city in November. He had been director of Urban Ministries for University Presbyterian Church in Seattle. Throughout his career, he has designed and led a variety of innovative partnerships that have produced extraordinary results based on the strength of neighborhood leadership and community collaboration.

Neighborhood association board members and community members interested in becoming engaged at the neighborhood level are invited to meet McCormick Huentelman and the entire Outreach staff at the first of two Neighborhood Leadership Gatherings this year.

People who come to the event will meet with other neighborhood leaders who are passionate about their communities. They will learn about Neighborhood Outreach programs and classes, and have a chance to share their priorities for their neighborhoods for the coming year.
