News Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, February 4, 2013

New playground would inspire Lucy

For children with disabilities, going to most playgrounds can be more frustrating than fun. "Inspiration Playground," to be built at Bellevue Downtown Park, is intended to serve kids of all abilities.

The planned playground is featured on this month's "Lake to Lake" news show, available on the city's YouTube channel, at Bellevue TV and on channel 21. School zone driving tips and Heart Week are also part of the February episode.

"Lake to Lake" is created and produced by city staff with help from Bellevue College students. Officer Carla Iafrate, Police public information officer, is host this month.

Other "Lake to Lake" segments this month include:

  • Downtown Livability; and
  • the Events Calendar.
