Do you want to learn how the City of Bellevue is developing the 2013-2014 Budget? Your opinion will be taken into consideration.
Currently, city staff are submitting operating budget proposals for the next biennium, along with their capital spending proposals for the years 2013 to 2019. As part of the budget review and decision-making process, the public is invited to learn how the city is developing its budget and give its opinion on how money should be spent.
There will be two open houses:
- Tuesday, June 12, 7-8:30 p.m., Community Room, Crossroads Community Center, 16000 NE 10th St.; and
- Thursday, June 14, 7-8:30 p.m., City Hall Room 1E-108.
"City staff will give residents and other stakeholders an overview of Bellevue's budget process, explain the 'budgeting by outcomes' strategy, and engage residents in a dialogue regarding the budget," said Jan Hawn, Finance Director. The city will also identify where city revenues come from and how revenues were allocated in the last budget process.
A short budget questionnaire/comment form will be available for residents to fill out. Anyone unable to attend is welcome to send comments to FinanceDepartment@bellevuewa.gov. The Budget page has a copy of the current budget.
